Inconvenience Yourself™ is an easy way to reinforce values and morals with children. It also provides opportunities to grow your relationship with your child. Inconvenience Yourself™ is a way of living and can be implemented at home and school. Some suggested ways to incorporate Inconvenience Yourself™ at home are listed below. You can also present the idea to teachers and encourage them to include Inconvenience Yourself™ in their teaching and behavior management programs.
Things to Do With Your Child
- Give a hug
- Help with homework
- Spend time reading
- Play outside or get some exercise
- Talk about the day
- Help with Inconvenience Yourself™ art projects at home - drawings, sculptures, etc.
- Select an Inconvenience Yourself™ theme for the day and look for ways to implement with your child
